Regional Teen Executive Spotlight

By: Autumn Sanders & Alexis Bennet

1. What accomplishment are you most proud of?

I am most proud of my academic success, including my acceptance into multiple rigorous colleges, my grade point average, and leadership positions within my community and school.

2. Who is your inspiration?

My inspiration is my family, each for their reasons. My mom is the epitome of resilience. She has taught me to face all battles head first, with God, and never shy away from any obstacle. Likewise, my dad has taught me to enjoy life and its amenities. Finally, my siblings have taught me the importance of family and loyalty. They inspire me every day and have shaped me into the person I am.

3. If you could travel anywhere, where would it be?

I would go to New York if I could travel anywhere. The location sounds very simplistic, but I have never been and love looking at images I see in movies, TV shows, and online. I recently traveled to DC for Founders Day Weekends, and even though I know DC isn't New York, DC resembles the fast-paced, young, vibrant city aspect that New York is also said to have. Unfortunately, they are both cold in the winter, which I am not accustomed to!

4. What is one thing you would say makes you unique?

One thing that makes me unique is my optimism. I work to find the best in every situation, moment, or day a specialty I learned from my mom. Any day you are alive and healthy is a day to be grateful for, and I rarely let things bring me down.

5. What is your all time favorite movie?

My all-time favorite movie is Mean Girls. As essential as that movie is, the theme of the movie is very relatable. I like how the movie is funny and compelling at the same time, and I could watch it repeatedly without getting bored.
